Cable Television

Courses offered via cable television have worked well for local students who can view them on the Cooperating Raleigh Colleges Education Channel or at NC State’s DH Hill Library. The courses are timely and broadcasted the same semester they are being offered to on-campus students. Learners follow a semester-based course schedule and submit assignments via fax, email, or mail, depending on the instructor’s specifications. Interaction with the instructor is strongly encouraged and should take place on a regular basis through either phone, email, fax or campus-visits. Interaction with peers is often minimal compared to other delivery formats; however student communication is increasingly supported through online chats, threaded discussions and group projects.

During the semester, the Weekly Lecture Schedule is posted on our website for your convenience. This will show you when lectures are being aired, and when a lecture is being repeated for review.

NC State cable courses are broadcast on the Cooperating Raleigh Colleges (CRC) Education Channel on Time Warner Cable. Please see the list below for Time Warner Cable communities receiving CRC access channel 18. Please note that course lecture materials are not broadcast through any satellite providers.
