Learning Management Systems
A Learning Management System (LMS) is a set of Internet-based software tools that allows instructors and students to interact via the Web. Using an LMS, students and instructors can use a Web browser to log in from anywhere in the world to access their class materials and interact with one another.
While the services provided by each LMS can differ, they generally offer tools to facilitate communication (such as discussion boards, chat rooms, and whiteboards), tools to facilitate assessment (such as quizzes, surveys, and assignment submission), and tools to facilitate classroom management (such as a grade book, student group manager, or student tracking tools). Please follow the link below for more information on LMS's most commonly used at NC State. .

The delivery format and course management system for your specific course can be found by viewing the course InfoFACT. This is available by visiting the Courses link, selecting a semester, department, and then a course from the listing. You will see a link to the right of each course for the InfoFACT.
